As we continue to share with you, in greater detail, where we will be going with The Oscar Chaplin, III Foundation for Education & Athletics, we can certainly illustrate how important The Mind is for one’s ability to reach goals, effecting change in one’s self and beyond.
The brain is a phenomenally important organ and The Mind is critical on the path to attaining one’s goals. This element symbolizes the education, knowledge, and quest for understanding tenets of this Foundation.
Diamond was always a seeker of knowledge and prayed more and more for the wisdom to use the knowledge well.
For all the days of this organization, we will use our skills, talents, knowledge, and wisdom to carry out the mission.
Philippians 4:7 tells us…
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Further, Romans 12:2 tells us…
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Lastly, Colossians 3:2 reminds us to…
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Over the next few days, we will share with you, in greater detail, where we are being led to go with The Oscar Chaplin, III Foundation for Education & Athletics. In doing so, we will share with you the tenets of this organization. We would love to have you join us in this voyage.
Much more than a fish, this element symbolizes the core of this Foundation. Used as a symbol for Christianity and Jesus Christ, it is a reminder for us to keep Christ’s love and God’s love shown through sending Christ as the central driver in all that we do.
ForDiamond’s last, and not-so-unrealized, birthday gift, he asked for love.
For all the days of this organization, Christ’s love will be at the core.
John 3:16 tells us…
For God so loved the World that He gave His one and only Son. That whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, “It is well, it is well with my soul.”
2 Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control: that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and has shed his own blood for my soul.
3 My sin oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! my sin, not in part, but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more; praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
4 O Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend; even so, it is well with my soul.
It is well with my soul; it is well, it is well with my soul.
–Hymn writer H.G. Spafford
The Spirit strengthens the Mind and Body to do the job that is necessary…
And It tells the Mind and Body when it is time to rest.
To be whole and holy, we must listen at both times.
It’s been a little quieter from us than we expected because of so many things going on. We’ve missed communicating with everyone and plan to change that by having more posts and more shout outs. So, here we go…
Diamond was always one for quality where it counted and we have certainly found that to be true with his friends as we have lived through these first 6 months without him here.
So,…
Care to share your favorite public-friendly picture and words of encouragement related to your friend, Oscar…Lil’ O…Diamond? Go for it! Share and re-share so that we all may benefit.
Thank you Cheryl “FUN!”Haworth for getting us started!
Do not be shaped by this world. Instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you, and you will be able to know what is good and pleasing to God and what is perfect. Romans 12:2 ICB Blessed Friday to you!
Super excited to announce that as of this week, The OC3 Foundation has been certified as a fully operational not-for-profit incorporated organization. Come along and grow with us!
We are using the persistent grief to fuel action and are blessed and thankful to be able to do this.
Thank you, Meyer & Sayers, for helping us to get this business side up and running!
Note that any contributions made since 18 MARCH 2022 are tax free and you may use this document at tax time, if needed.
From the very beginning, our parents inspired and instilled a spirit of service in us. It was amazing to see and hear of how that spirit was silently super-active in Diamond.
Parents, let us teach, train, and live so our children have the knowledge of the traits that will allow them to be the change that they can be.
Let us pray for them in such a way that they grow the servant’s heart. Non-parents can do the same with and for those around them. The best leaders are indeed the most inspirational servants.
In our quest for wisdom, let us consider Solomon’s words in Proverbs 4:6 – 8…
6. Forsake her (wisdom) not, and she shall preserve thee: Love her, and she shall keep thee.
7. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding.
8. Exalt her, and she shall promote us: she will bring us to honor, when we embrace her.
One more message planned for this week. Be on the lookout for it tomorrow!
When we lost a cornerstone of the Chaplin family this year, our hearts were heavy. That is until all of the love started continually being shown through calls, texts, emails, and posts. That is when our hearts began to fill up again.
I believe that’s when we all remembered God promised us, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!”
That brought back a little sunshine.
Then we remember that He said… “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed spirit.”
As soon as the tears seemed to flow non-stop we got a little comfort from Matthews 5:4 that says, “Blessed are they that mourn: For they shall be comforted.”
And everyone knows Mom is always repeating….”All things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose.” Diamond had a special purpose. We all saw it more each day. Even though some days we may think that he’s gone too soon, we ALWAYS remember…
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
Then and only then do we find peace knowing HE promised us that He’d never leave us, nor forsake us and that HE would be with us ALWAYS, even until the end of the world!
A little everyday and he shows it in his own special way. He unknowingly transforms his sadness into action to deal with his feelings. It is a lesson for me for sure.

Remembering
How does an 8-year-old nephew remember his uncle?
A little everyday and he shows it in his own special way. He unknowingly transforms his sadness into action to deal with his feelings. It is a lesson for me for sure.

Standing strong
Each of us in The Crew has had the privilege to represent The USA at some point or many times. Diamond, too.
Just as we may be the only Bible that a person reads, we have the privilege to be the America that people see and get to know.
❤️🇺🇸What America will people see when they meet you? ❤️🇺🇸
A Blessed, Happy, and Reflective Independence Day to you and yours!
